A reservation is a contract, a commitment made between two parties and “pacta sunt servanda”. However, the Traveler can cancel the reservation at any time.
Cancellation penalties follow a path that is a function of the type of fare that the Traveler decides to adopt. If he chooses the “Standard Rate” (no deposit, balance at check-in) the penalties are as follows:
- no penalty for cancellations up to 14 days from the beginning of the stay
- penalty equal to the cost of the entire stay for cancellations made less than 14 days before the start of the stay or for no-show.
If the Traveler opts for the “Non-Refundable Rate”, which is about 15% lower than the Standard Rate, and provides for the balance of the stay at the time of booking, you are not entitled to refunds for cancellation or for no-show.
